Looking us up on a map, it may seem we are out on a limb, even in the back of beyond. But there are other things to see, and other places to visit.

The Humber Bridge, the longest single span bridge in the world when it was built a quarter of a century ago, is still the fourth longest.

The Deep is an award-winning futuristic aquarium in Hull, devoted to increasing people's enjoyment and understanding of the world's oceans. SHARKS GALORE.

Patrington, a quiet village on the way to the sea, is the home of the Queen of Holderness, claimed by many to be the finest parish church in England.

At the end of the road is the strange shifting peninsula of Spurn Point. Visit before it becomes an island again.

The entrance, drive and parking area at Bamboo Glade are rather restricted, so some of our visitors prefer to park in the side road opposite the house. But either way, you are very welcome.

Some of our plants are quite large.
